ANM Nursing  

ANM is a paramedical nursing program that trains female students in primary healthcare, maternal and child health, community nursing, and midwifery practices. Graduates form a critical part of India’s rural and community healthcare delivery system.

Duration: 2 Years

Eligibility: 10+2 (any stream) from a recognised board. Female candidates only. Minimum 45% aggregate marks. Age limit as per Maharashtra Nursing Council norms.

Career Scope: Graduates can work as Community Health Workers, ANM nurses in government health sub-centres, PHCs, hospitals, and NGO-run health programmes. Government recruitment for ANM posts is regularly carried out under NHM and state health departments, making this a high-demand qualification in rural healthcare.

GNM Nursing

GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery) is a comprehensive nursing program designed to prepare students for professional careers in patient care, clinical nursing, community health, and midwifery services. The course combines theoretical knowledge with practical hospital-based training, enabling students to provide quality healthcare across a variety of medical settings.

Duration: 3 Years

Eligibility: 10+2 (any stream) from a recognised board with a minimum of 45% aggregate marks. Admission criteria are subject to the norms prescribed by the Maharashtra Nursing Council.

Career Scope: Staff Nurses, Clinical Nurses, Community Health Nurses, Ward Supervisors, and Healthcare Assistants in government and private hospitals, nursing homes, community health centres, and healthcare organisations. GNM-qualified nurses are also eligible for government recruitment opportunities and can pursue higher studies such as B.Sc. Nursing and specialised nursing programs.
